His sophomore middle grade novel, NIKHIL OUT LOUD, is a Lambda Literary Award winner and was named a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year.

His debut middle grade novel, THE BEST AT IT, is a Stonewall Honor winner and was named a Kirkus Reviews Best Books of the 21st Century (so far).
